I first started cleaning windows in the year 2000 for a commercial cleaning company in Wellington city. I was able to work along side other window cleaners with decades of experience, learning from “the masters” and cleaning thousands of windows every week I became very proficient.
In 2004 I decided to start my own business in Wellington. “Reflection Window Cleaning” was born. Being a perfectionist by nature I loved to get the windows perfectly clean. This was not always possible, as I’d notice some glass would have staining or scratches, and so a perfect result wasn’t always. I found this frustrating, so I decided I would learn how to remove the damage from the surface of the glass myself!
The place to find out a lot about glass is the glazing industry. So I put my business on hold and applied for a job with a glazing firm, and then for the next 3 years I gained extensive knowledge of glass. In my spare time I learned and develop the skills and techniques to restore glass surfaces, using my new deeper understanding of glass.
I not only found out it was possible to remove stains and scratches from glass, but using the latest in Nano Coating technology, it was also possible to protect new glass from becoming stained and scratched.
It was now possible to offer a complete service so “Glass Genius” was started. And quickly become the number one Glass Surface Restoration & Protection Specialist. I believe there is not a person who loves caring for glass, or as knowledge on the subjects of class care, glass restoration and glass protection as me in this country (and trust me…... I have searched for them)! But I tell people if they do every meet someone who loves glass more, please introduce me to them as we will be best friends for life!
