Restoring $20,000+ Worth Of Tap Water Damage

< Back

This was a really interesting job as the homeowner had no idea what had caused this issue. They contacted the architect who designed the home, and the builder who built the home and they also had the supplier of the glass visit the site. None of them were able to give an indication of what was wrong. It was a frustrating unsolved mystery to the homeowner. Spoiling the view out of their windows.

I visited the property and immediately was able to identify the problem. Cleaning the windows using tap water with a high mineral content caused the issue. I was able to offer them a solution to fix the problem and also stop it from happening again.

I removed the staining from 21 downstairs windows at a fraction of the cost of replacement. 7 of these were very large sliding doors that cost many thousands of dollars each to replace ($3,500+ each). I then applied the protective nano glass coating to the 21 panes of glass.

On completion of the job, I gave the homeowner a quick lesson on how to maintain and clean the glass. Showing them that with a quick wipe with a window cleaning mops the water and soap could be hosed off leaving the glass

completely dry due to how aggressively the nano coat repels water. It's really amazing to witness this effect!

days, we are very happy with how gleaming they are now looking! Also thanks for the window cleaning training!”
